Translation tool: memoQ

The GlobalDenmark Translations department applies a translation-technology tool in the form of memoQ from Kilgray.

memoQ is a tool which consists of termbases, translation memories, corpus and an alignment function. The tool can process basically all text material and is compatible with any other tool available on the market (including Trados), as it can generate mbd. and XLIFF.

Quality assurance procedure

GlobalDenmark offers a comprehensive quality assurance procedure where translated text is read aloud by someone other than the person who translated the text.

This helps avoid errors, mistakes, missing numbers etc. but it also ensures a fluency in the text. As a customer you can be sure that the text has been thoroughly proofread!

If a text is translated from Danish to English by a Danish translator, an English native speaker will read the text aloud while the Danish translator is following the text. During this process, the reviewer and the translator discuss terminology used and interpretations of the text.
